About this Program:
Federal and State Agencies are increasing audit and enforcement activity. Employers are frequently caught unprepared, especially in the current environment furloughs, layoffs, and reduction in hours. Businesses also face heightened scrutiny of independent contractors or eligibility for salaried status. This webinar is intended to address the age-old FLSA issues in the context of today’s expanding regulatory environment. We will review pending changes in law and enforcement strategies and peek through the ever-darkening veil of the FLSA. Is your employee properly classified as exempt? Is that “consultant” actually an “employee?” What records are required by the Department of Labor? And what records will be useful in an audit or complaint investigation? Hear answers to these questions and more in this webinar, which will also cover ever-changing issues involving minimum wage, overtime pay, travel pay, volunteers, training pay, intern and child labor issues.
Your Instructor:

His practice covers employment issues including counseling on employment policies and handbooks, representation in administrative and court proceedings, defending discrimination claims, and providing guidance on ADA, FMLA, drug testing, sexual harassment, wage‑hour matters, and a variety of other issues.
