About this Program:

The Family Medical Leave Act continues to be one of the most difficult federal statutes for employers to implement on a consistent basis. Intermittent leave remains a source of abuse. In addition, an employer's rights under the Act are contingent on its compliance with the law's notice provisions.

This seminar will look at what employers can do to control abuse issues, especially abuse of intermittent leave. In addition, key notice procedures that employers must comply with will be discussed.

This is an intermediate level presentation that assumes a working knowledge of FMLA. Its focus will be on how employers can use the options they have available under the Act to prevent abuse.
